Your health information is personal. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Dr. Rakesh Medicare is a family healthcare clinic in Chikkaballapur, Karnataka, continuing the legacy of Raju Clinic. This policy covers information collected through this website, WhatsApp enquiries, phone calls, and visits to the clinic, pharmacy and laboratory.

Information we collect

  • Contact details you share when enquiring or booking — name, phone number and any message you send us.
  • Appointment details such as the doctor or service you are asking about and your preferred timing.
  • Clinical information created during care — history, examination findings, diagnosis, prescriptions, laboratory results and admission notes.
  • Pharmacy and laboratory records linked to prescriptions dispensed or tests performed.
  • Basic technical information your browser sends when loading this website, such as device type and pages viewed.

How we use it

  • To schedule, confirm and reschedule appointments.
  • To diagnose, treat and follow up on your health condition.
  • To dispense medicines correctly and report laboratory results.
  • To maintain medical records as required for continuity of care and by law.
  • To respond to your questions, and to call or message you about your visit or reports.

What we never do

  • We do not sell your personal or health information.
  • We do not share your details with advertisers or use them for unrelated marketing.
  • We do not discuss your condition with family members or third parties without your consent, except where you are unable to consent and treatment requires it.

When we share information

Information is shared only where it is necessary:

  • With the treating doctor and clinical staff involved in your care.
  • With referral laboratories, imaging centres or specialists when a test or opinion is needed.
  • With hospitals you are referred to, so your care continues without delay.
  • Where disclosure is required by law, a court order, or by public health authorities for notifiable conditions.

WhatsApp and phone enquiries

The WhatsApp and Call buttons on this website open WhatsApp or the dialler on your own device. When you send a message or place a call, your phone number and message become visible to our front desk. Please avoid sending detailed medical reports or identity documents over WhatsApp unless a staff member has asked you to.

How long we keep records

Medical records are retained for the period required for continuity of care and under applicable Indian medical record-keeping requirements. Enquiry messages that do not lead to a consultation are kept only as long as needed to respond to you.

Your choices and rights

  • Ask for a copy of your medical records or reports.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate personal details such as name, age or phone number.
  • Withdraw consent for non-essential communication such as reminder messages.
  • Ask a question or raise a concern about how your information was handled.

To make any of these requests, speak to our front desk or call +91 70195 55806. Requests concerning clinical records may require you to verify your identity in person.

Security

Records are stored in the clinic with access limited to staff who need them for your care. Staff are instructed to keep patient information confidential. No method of storage or transmission is completely risk-free, so we ask patients not to share sensitive documents over public or shared devices.
