How to raise a concern

Step 1

Speak to our front desk

Most concerns — waiting time, billing clarity, a medicine not available, a report delay — can be sorted out the same day. Ask for the duty in-charge at the reception.

Step 2

Submit a written complaint

If you are not satisfied, give us a written complaint addressed to the grievance officer. You can hand it in at reception, or send it by email or post. Please include your name, phone number, date of visit and what happened.

Step 3

Review and reply

The grievance officer reviews the complaint with the doctor or department concerned, and replies to you with the outcome and any corrective action taken.

Our response timelines

  • Acknowledgement of a written complaint within 48 hours of receiving it.
  • Resolution or a written reply within 15 working days.
  • If the review needs more time — for example a clinical review — we will tell you why and give you a revised date.
  • Complaints about medicine safety, infection or patient safety are reviewed on the same day.

What you can complain about

  • Quality of clinical care or communication by a doctor or nurse.
  • Staff behaviour or lack of courtesy.
  • Billing, charges or a bill you do not understand.
  • Pharmacy dispensing, medicine availability or price.
  • Laboratory reports — delay, quality or a result you believe is inconsistent.
  • Ward cleanliness, food, visiting hours or attendant facilities.
  • Privacy or confidentiality of your information.
